Welcome to Honalee Farms Our Story
Hi there! We are the Robertsons, and we are so incredibly happy you're here to spend some time with us.
Our journey began back in 2005 when we moved onto a completely empty, undeveloped piece of property. To anyone else, it might have just looked like an open field, but to us, it was a blank canvas. It was ours, and we dreamed of turning it into something truly special.
Whats in a Name
When it came time to name our dream, the inspiration came from the heart. Growing up, our son absolutely loved the song Puff the Magic Dragon and always told us that one day, he wanted to live in the magical land of Honalee. When we looked out over our land, we realized we had the chance to build that magical place right here. It felt entirely meant to be, and Honalee Farms was born.
Growth, Sheep, and Sustainability
In 2016, we took a leap of faith and planted our very first blueberry bushes. To our absolute delight, they completely took off! Looking to diversify our little family farm, we decided to add sheep to the mix in 2018. We chose Katahdin sheep because they perfectly fit our climate and our low-stress farming style.
From the very beginning, our philosophy has been rooted in care and stewardship. We take immense pride in providing a peaceful, countryside experience for both our animals and our guests. Because we care about the health of our land and your family, we are dedicated to maintaining a sustainable, pesticide-free, and herbicide-free environment. When you pick our blueberries or enjoy our other farm products, you can trust they were grown safely and naturally.
Celebrating 10 Years and New Additions!
It is hard to believe, but here we are celebrating our 10th year of farming! What started as an empty patch of land has blossomed into a thriving sanctuary where families can slow down, connect with nature, and create lifelong memories.
To celebrate a decade of growth and make your visits even more enjoyable, we’ve added some wonderful new features to the farm this year:
-
The Farm Shop: We’ve opened up a small farm shop right here on the property, filled with our own farm-fresh items and goodies for you to browse.
-
The Oak Tree Picnic Area: We’ve set up a beautiful, relaxing picnic area nestled right in the cool shade of our big oak trees—the perfect spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy the day.
Whether you are here to pick a bucket of fresh berries, visit the animals, explore the new shop, or just enjoy a quiet afternoon in the shade, we welcome you to our little piece of paradise.
Thank you for being a part of our story and supporting our family farm over the last ten years. We can’t wait to see you out in the fields!
